The Saddle Seat jods are just perfect! You cannot imagine the reaction in the barn. The first thing my trainer did was examine them closely - the fit, the leather, etc. He commented that he wants everyone in the barn to wear jods when they ride because it "is the proper way to ride." I love my western jods! They are comfortable and great looking. I do a lot of trail riding and can't even begin to count how many people have stopped me on trail asking me where I got my jods - I am not a tights person and the zippers with the full legs make me feel like I'm wearing jeans, but with all the comfort of tights. I get really dirty out on trail and the fact you can machine wash these deerskin pants is incredible. The cell phone pocket is extremely handy. The cold and snow hasn't stopped me from trail riding, so I have just ordered the winter western jods and looking forward to testing the performance of the high-tech fabric. My first pair of full seat breeches arrived yesterday. First of all I couldn't believe how quickly I had received a pair of custom breeches. Second, the fit is FABULOUS!! I've ridden in them twice and love, love, love them. I am hard to fit because of my waist/hip ratio, but you have made me the ideal pair of breeches. These are my first pair, but certainly won't be my last. I'm going to order a pair of full seat Arctic 's for the winter in Ohio . Thanks for making such an incredibly high-quality product. I'll close with a story you'll appreciate. My daughter and I started riding Icelandics just this Fall--and by May I had bought one! Anyway, for Christmas she wanted to get a really good pair of riding breeches, and her husband and mother-in-law went in on a custom-made pair ordered from Germany, after much online research. I was there when she received them at our Christmas celebration, and of course, she tried them on right away. Although she tried to hide it, I could see she was disappointed because they felt quite stiff. She's moved to Oregon now, and doesn't have much opportunity to ride at present, so I don't know if they've ever "broken in". But what a contrast to your product, which is butter-soft and super comfy when it arrives. No break-in period with Equissentials! I also love your excellent customer service. I received my new Equicool breeches as scheduled last Wed. and rode in them for the first time during my lesson this morning. They're terriffic!! I love the full seat, and they fit me PERFECTLY! I have had a terrible time finding full seat breeches that fit me well and feel comfortable. Can't tell you how many pair I've tried on and/or returned if ordered from a catalog. Even the so-called "Shapely" breeches made by another manufacturer for those of us who aren't built like pencils(!) didn't fit well and were returned. I appreciate so much your custom tailoring at no extra charge and your prompt service. I also really appreciate that I could return the GripBums I purchased at Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio, for full credit toward the new ones. You're a great company to deal with and you offer a quality product, a combination not too often found in business today. Just wanted to let you know you're appreciated. I own two huge Percherons I use for riding. One is young,
super-tall 18.3hh, the other very wide, round and strong. Although gentle
giants, only the best breeches will keep me on and safely and in control on a
draft. I have tried everything from the stickiest seats, (you know the brand) to
really thick, coarse full-seats - all have been just okay, not really very good.
I lived with it.

comfortable
and soft and there was no movement from them (apart from WITH me!). They
are like a second skin. The deerskin affords so much grip, yet is so soft

OK so it's taken me this long to write to say thankyou. I've recently received my third pair of your jods, I have 2 pairs of the Icelandics and now some boot cut. This time with the great pocket design - no more grovelling for the polos. I can't thank you enough for the super quick turn around time, even to the UK, as I wanted to look super smart for a clinic and left ordering too late. I don't even know where to begin! I am the author of.. "Pilates for the Dressage Rider".. out in August 2006. I am riding my young.., big moving horse and I have been having a hard time maintaining my position with the Pilates musculature I write about in my book. Being only 5 feet tall, it's been hard to find riding pants that fit well -- until I found Equissentials. Well I just ordered my fifth pair of Equissentials riding pants. Obviously I love them. This time, however, I also ordered the Leather Therapy Laundry Solution and Leather Therapy Rinse and Dressing. 2002, my unit, the Pittsburgh Police Mounted Patrol, received four pairs of your
“Deerskin Full Seat Arctics”. As a unit, we really decided to put these
riding pants “to the test” before declaring what we thought of them. For a
background, it should be noted that we are a full-time mounted unit. We ride
seven days a week, four to six hours per day. Only ice, lightening or fog will
stop us. While we generally do not have a lot of snow accumulation, we do have
endless weeks of wet, windy frigid temperatures. It is very difficult to stay
warm even when layering the clothes, which makes a person cumbersome and bulky,
which is not good for police work. The remedy was
your “Arctic” riding pants. They are warm beyond belief without the bulk.
They do not allow the wind to penetrate and snow does not make them wet. They
are also extremely comfortable and flattering to different shapes; we have three
women and one man. To further test
the pants, we decided to wear the “Arctics” while mucking the stalls before
we rode. We are pleased to report that, even after mucking and haying, the pants
looked clean and professional enough to go on patrol. They do not attract barn
dirt and hay is easily shaken off. They also wash up and dry quickly. In summary, we
want to say that these riding pants are great! Should anyone want to contact me,
